A5 Wagyu beef slow-braised 6 hours in Barolo. Hand-rolled egg tagliatelle. 24-month Parmigiano-Reggiano. The reason our regulars don't look at the rest of the menu.

Braised veal shank, saffron risotto alla Milanese, classic gremolata. Chef Moretti's Naples-born signature — braised to order, never plated in advance.
Est. La Jolla 2019
Every evening, our kitchen begins from scratch. Burrata arrives from Puglia. Pasta is hand-rolled by 4 PM. The Barolo for our Wagyu Bolognese starts its low simmer at noon. It is the kind of cooking that cannot be hurried — and shouldn't be.
Luna Rossa was founded in 2019 by Marco Bellini with one conviction: the soul of Southern Italian cooking — unhurried, generous, deeply rooted in place — could speak just as fluently to La Jolla's Pacific light as it does to the Bay of Naples.
Gluten-free pasta on every dish, no charge. Vegan and vegetarian section. Allergen-friendly always. The patio seats 32 with an ocean view that earns its own reputation.

Anniversary dinner was absolutely perfect. The tableside truffle shaving on the burrata is pure theatre. The Wagyu Bolognese is the best pasta I've had outside of Italy. The ocean-view patio at dusk is unmatched in La Jolla.
Chef Moretti's Osso Buco Milanese is the real deal — braised to fall-off-the-bone perfection with a gremolata that cuts right through the richness. The Amalfi Room for our corporate dinner was ideal. Booked again immediately.
Luna Rossa is our family's Sunday tradition now. The staff know us by name, and the Limoncello Tiramisù is non-negotiable at every visit. GF pasta handled with zero fuss. The patio at sunset is absolute perfection.
